The diversity of the network that PHAP has developed – the diversity of the members who all gravitate towards the same idea – is something quite unique. Interacting and networking with other humanitarian professionals who are engaged in work across a variety of different fields is an important priority for me. With members from the sector as a whole, we have a great opportunity – in terms of understanding other peoples operations and in terms of becoming better in our own operations.

New event calendar service under the Geneva Humanitarian Connector

27 Jan 2017

The beta version of the event calendar of the Geneva Humanitarian Connector is now publicly available. The calendar aims to be a comprehensive listing, not only of public events on topics of relevance to the humanitarian community, but also of private meetings and events in related fields that may be of interest. As such, the calendar is a useful tool for keeping track of initiatives and processes that are ongoing in Geneva for anyone who has a professional or personal interest in them and who may be looking to connect with other individuals and organizations working on similar issues.

The calendar has been developed in response to the results of surveys and interviews carried out in the humanitarian community in Geneva, which highlighted the need for a reliable and comprehensive event listing. The GHC event calendar lists all events organized in Geneva that could be of professional interest to humanitarians. This includes conferences and meetings, seminars and workshops, panel discussions and public lectures, networking and social events, and exhibitions and other cultural events.

Additional information services of the Geneva Humanitarian Connector will be added in the coming months, including a subscription service for customized updates on upcoming events in the calendar.

You can access the beta version of the calendar at gvaconnector.phap.org
